Lilith was listlessly wandering her castle. She wanted a bit of fresh air, but every time she looked outside it made her upset, so she settled for a stroll around the castle. Planning this uprising was very difficult on her and required all of her resources and brains, so she felt plainly drained by the time she could relax.
She wished Natalie could assist her, but the woman couldn’t know about certain parts of the plan. No, that would throw a spanner in the works and Lilith couldn’t handle that, not when she was so close. She felt downright terrible for not telling Natalie everything, but it was for Natalie’s own good. Natalie’s own good was Lilith’s top priority right now; she was integral to the plan. It was mostly to power-shift, and then Natalie would be taken care of, if Lilith had trained her correctly. Lilith had the utmost confidence in her right hand woman.

Natalie had just gotten back from the surface. It was that time of the month again, the time where she had to go and feed. She didn't like it very much, but it was necessary for her sanity. She hadn't tried to go longer than a month without feeding before- She really was afraid of what might happen. She supposed that if she wanted to, she could try to force herself to get used to feeding less and less often, but she didn't know if that would work.
After all, humans couldn't force themselves to get used to less and less food and still function well after enough time.
"Lilith?" Natalie asked, seeing the woman walking through the halls in her direction. Well, that was strange, for Lilith to be wandering around here. Oh well, she probably had some reason to be. Natalie didn't consider that she might have just been bored or restless or something.

“Natalie,” Lilith responded. She seemed tired, but happy to see her, “Just the person I was thinking of.”
Lilith wondered if Natalie would still have to feed once things shifted in their favor… It was possible, but only time would tell. Lilith hoped that was the case.
“Did you just come back?” she asked as she approached Natalie, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t even know you left.”
She had been awfully distracted lately. She felt like she was neglecting a lot of things and people that she’d much rather spend time with. She’d even missed Samael leaving, who was normally by her side no matter what she did.
“I’m sorry, I’ve been so distracted lately,” she apologized again, “It’s all for the best though, right?”
A little bit of encouragement would be nice, she thought. She realized she didn’t know if Natalie even agreed with her ideas. She felt selfish for not asking.

Natalie smiled at Lilith- Natalie smiling was a rare thing, but it was Lilith, and Lilith was someone whom she could smile to. "Yes, I had to go feed," she said. "It's alright, though." Blood tasted irony, too irony, but by now Natalie had become accustomed to the taste. She had to drink it, anyway, and her instincts forced her to desire it. Being a vampire wasn't too bad, but if someone had told her two hundred years ago she would be surviving off of blood for eternity, she would have been quite disgusted.
Natalie nodded. "Yes, it's all for the best," she said. She didn't really agree with Lilith's ideas, but that was irrelevant. Lilith had saved her from Mammon, and so she would do anything for Lilith. Staging a coup was hardly a horrible deed, anyway, at least in Natalie's opinion. Really, she could be doing far worse things.

Lilith smiled back. She knew Natalie to be pretty serious, so she didn’t take a smile from her for granted.
“It’s hardly alright to me,” Lilith said honestly, “I just hope things work out.”
Things wouldn’t work out quite the way Natalie might expect, but that was alright. So long as the power was shifted the right way, things would be much better for everyone. She was focusing all of her attention on the recent release of Beelzebub and who was behind it, and that person behind it was exactly where she wanted the power to shift away; from Lucifer and hopefully right into her lap.
“Will you walk with me awhile?” she asked, “I have a few moments before I have to return to the plans.”
The fact that Natalie didn’t agree with her was probably to their benefit. Lilith was far from perfect and she appreciated the support Natalie gave her, above anything else.

Natalie nodded in agreement. She hoped that they would work out as well. If not, then both of them were in deep, deep trouble for a very long time. She'd heard about Beelzebub's release, and it was obvious who was behind it, but she didn't know how Lucifer had managed it. Well, he was the son of the devil himself, but Satan wouldn't really give into favours for his spoiled son.
"Of course," Natalie said. Why not? She enjoyed Lilith's company, after all. She wasn't just here because she felt she owed a debt to Lilith; Natalie also liked her as a person. She was. . Kind. Different than anyone else in Hell, and she didn't belong here among the damned.
Of course, it wasn't like Upstairs cared much, but then again, Upstairs was just as bad as Hell on caring about people. One would expect the Heavens to actually be good, wouldn't they?

“Thank you,” Lilith said, curling her fingers around Natalie’s hand. Lilith would normally try to sense other’s emotions, for ease of conversation, but she didn’t with Natalie.
Enjoying her few moments with her was important to Lilith. Both women were busy a good deal of the time, she realized. There wasn’t enough time for just the two of them. Lilith supposed that would be easier if she wasn’t planning and collecting information for a coup.
She didn’t say anything immediately, but started walking down the hallway again. She continued to hold onto Natalie’s hand as she walked. She really was tired, she realized.
She thought the same about the Upstairs, but after awhile realized it was nothing more than a fancy name for the same exact place as Hell. She imagined its tenants were treated much better than they were here, but she wouldn’t ever know. She just wanted the ones here to be treated better, not to go to the heavens.

Natalie allowed Lilith to take her hand, and even curled her own fingers around Lilith's hand. Lilith was someone, probably the only person, Natalie cared a lot for. She'd go out of existence if it would help Lilith's cause- Thankfully, it wouldn't, so Natalie was still undead. She realized she sounded like Rostov from War and Peace, but it was more than just endless devotion to some royal figure she didn't even know. It was endless devotion to someone who had saved her from eternal misery.
"Are you alright?" Natalie finally asked. "You seem tired, especially lately." Natalie found herself wondering if Lilith got enough sleep- Probably not. She was very busy, as was Natalie: Planning a coup tended to be hard work. Still, though, Lilith's well-being was important, far more important than any coup that they would attempt to pull. Hopefully after this was all over, Lilith would finally get some rest.

Natalie blinking completely out of existence was the last thing Lilith wanted, no matter what her goals might be. Much like Natalie sacrificing her existence, Lilith would sacrifice these goals for Natalie. It was a good thing for both of them that Lilith’s goals didn’t involve either. Lilith hoped things would improve drastically for Natalie once things were done.
“To be perfectly honest, I’m very tired,” Lilith admitted, “I don’t know when I slept last, but it must not have been very long. Beelzebub’s release has kept me for several nights. I still don’t know how Lucifer found out how to do it, or even why.”
The Lord of Pride certainly had enough strings to pull, but the only one who knew the entire prophesy would be his enigmatic father. It was a bit hard for Lilith to think of that horrible demon as someone’s son, but thankfully, the Lord of All Hell wasn’t very keen on giving his son any openings he didn’t earn.

Natalie frowned. Oh dear. Even after hypnotizing lesser demons, Natalie wasn't able to find out anything more, aside from the fact that Lucifer had been the cause of Beelzebub's release. It figured, of course- The demons who would know these things were ones that Natalie couldn't hypnotize. What a shame.
Natalie didn't know the first thing about how to free someone that that being kept prisoner by the Lord of All Hell, though. She wasn't aware of what the prophecy would be like or anything. All she knew was that it had to be very specific actions, and Lucifer had somehow figured out what they were. She didn't even know why he'd done it- Freeing Beelzebub wasn't in his best interest. Or was it?
It was very annoying. Natalie didn't like Lucifer at all.
"You should get some rest," Natalie said, trying not to sound like a scolding parent. "I doubt there's many people who know how he managed to and less who know why."
