Dago couldn’t imagine what Hans thought of him when he found out he’d lied about a lot of things. He wasn’t 100% honest all the time, but usually his fibs didn’t end up potentially hurting anyone. He’d taken a liking to Hans, even just as he’d accidentally broken his seal; so he felt doubly bad. He didn’t like mistreating someone he liked.
How Dago explained it was pretty damn sketchy, but he was leaving out the biggest detail. He didn’t want to mention that he wasn’t exactly mortal or really even human anymore. Well, that and the part where he had to be completely loyal to her.
Dago sat forward, leaning on his knees, “How do you figure?” he asked with a mischievous grin.
He thought it was pretty funny that Hans would assume that. He guessed that’s who he thought he was married, too, as well. He didn’t think Marian would ever get married either, they shared that much in common.

Hans shrugged. "He knew about your three years- Although you've told me, so I don't know if that's a secret. Also, he told you not to fuck on his bed- Why would you be fucking on his bed, unless you're fucking him?" he asked. Alright, so those were stupid reasons, he realized, but Marian was the only person Hans knew around here, aside from Dago, obviously. Dago could fuck himself, but he'd mentioned a monogamous relationship.
Hans didn't think Dago was the sort of person to get married, either, but who knew? Some people probably shouldn't have married, but they still did. Besides, Hans had assumed Marian and Dago were getting a divorce, not a marriage. That just proved how unsuited Dago was for it.
Alright, the excuses were getting thinner and thinner.
Hans didn't know Marian well enough to guess whether he would marry or not, but in the brief moments they had talked, Hans wouldn't have thought Marian was married.

“It is, please don’t go spreading it around,” he said, “I’ve had to unfortunately lie some more to keep the parts where I came back to life a secret.”
He figured that he was a dick to Hans, so he could trust him a little bit. That wasn’t a good basis for trust, but he wanted to be friends with Hans and that was the way he knew how.
There were a lot of other people in the Library, but he’d only slept with one of them. He was just a little surprised that Hans got it right the first time.
“Nah, you’re right,” he said with a shrug, “Though that won’t be happening for maybe the rest of my sentence.”
His voice was obviously glum about it and his shoulders slumped a little bit. He thought he deserved it, but it still sucked. He didn’t want to make Marian mad, aside from losing a bed partner.
“Anyway, I’ll come back tomorrow and we’ll practice again,” he said leaning down to pick up the stack of books he’d brought, “Remember not to take off that bracer, okay?”
