Lilith shook her head, “You’re right, but I don’t even know what the prophecy might have been. That would lead me in the right direction, at least.”
Lilith had been around for awhile. She had seen and done a lot of things; this wasn’t the first imprisonment she’d heard of. She’d even seen Beelzebub be imprisoned, so many years ago. She knew he had a shifting cage; his preferred shape was a fly.
“Usually if I try to sleep, my mind continues working. That doesn’t lead to very restful nights,” she said with a smile, “I suppose I can try.”
She turned toward the corridor where her lavish room was located. If she didn’t go there, she’d probably fall asleep on the couch in her drawing room. That was where she had a table stacked with ancient books detailing imprisonments and the basic history of hell.
“What about you?” she asked, turning back to Natalie.

Natalie shrugged. "There's only one- Er, two people who know the entire prophecy," she said, trying to make Lilith feel better. "Do you have any idea how Lucifer would have obtained it?" Hmm. . If Natalie were Lucifer how would she figure out a prophecy? By figuring out who would know bits and pieces of it, and then getting it from them by whatever means necessary.
But then again, she didn't know if anyone who did know bits and pieces of it were still in existence.
"It's a good idea to try," Natalie said, smiling back at Lilith. "As for me, I'm alright. A bit busy, but both of us are, after all." The gears in her mind were turning, though. Would Lucifer kill anyone who knew the bits and pieces? Maybe not- The only people who would want to know were those who would free Beelzebub, and not many people would want that. Then again, Lucifer wasn't known for his mercy. Hmmm.

“I don’t, but I have a few guesses,” she said, “He does have a lot of influence and there has been a very long time since Beelzebub was imprisoned.”
Lilith supposed that a lot of people who knew the pieces were already dead. Natalie was right, Lucifer wasn’t known for his mercy. He was known for a few odd habits and being Satan’s son, but mercy was the last on that list. Lilith supposed she could ask him directly, but that would be conspicuous and he wouldn’t likely tell her without something in return.
“We have,” Lilith said with a smile, “Why don’t we both take a rest?”
She didn’t know if Natalie came back to sleep or had just started the day, but she wanted Natalie’s company regardless. Perhaps she’d sleep sounder knowing that Natalie was there, anything to get a few hours of sleep soundly. It’d been a long time since she’d had consistent sleep, but she’d settle for restful sleep.

That made sense, then. Hmm. If Lucifer hadn't killed them- And Natalie was thinking it was more and more likely that he would have, being the sadistic bastard that he was- Then they may have died from other causes by now. Beelzebub had been imprisoned since before she had even become a vampire at least.
"That. . Sounds like a good idea," Natalie said, suddenly realizing how exhausted she was. She hadn't slept for a while, either- Not because she was worried or anything, but because she had just been so busy getting everything worked out. The coup had to go perfectly and according to plan. If not. . If not, then her and Lilith would end up just like Beelzebub had been for over 200 years.
And worse yet, Natalie couldn't think of anyone with the willingness to free them and with the knowledge to. No, this had to go well.

Lilith was tired of thinking about Beelzebub and Lucifer, about the coup and everything really. She really needed to work, but she needed to sleep eventually. A rested mind is a attentive mind, after all.
“Good,” Lilith said with a smile, “Let’s got to sleep then.”
Lilith gently pulled Natalie toward her bedroom. Her bed was big enough for both of them, though that didn’t bother her in the least. She’d taken Natalie in over two hundred years ago, she was much more comfortable with the other woman close now, she found.
She knew things had to go according to plan, but Natalie would look as though she had nothing to do with it, if things did go according to plan. Then again, that was the part Lilith kept from her. It was the only secret she could think of that she had from her. It’d be the last time, too, she resolved.
