Sergio walked up to the Leader’s tent and stood at attention at the guards on duty. They regarded him for a second and then let him in, along with Camille, who would be with him. Sergio knew that the Leader’s tent was somewhat near Dante’s tent, but they had to run that risk to get out of here for awhile. Dante might not kill them, but Sergio definitely didn’t want to be turned into strawberry jam either. He could take quite a few hits, but not enough to keep his face from caving in.
Sergio saluted Conall, who sat at his high-backed chair like usual. Conall waved his hand, not very excited to see him.
“What’is it ye want, lad?” he groaned, seemingly distracted.
Sergio looked at Camille after he had been released to ‘at-ease.’ He wasn’t sure if he should explain or if she should. He paused for a heavy moment to decide.

Camille frowned. Well, so they had to explain things to Conall, who she wasn't sure would be sympathetic. How would she explain this? 'Oh, I was spying on the guy you sent to train me and Sergio walked by and now he wants to kill us?' No, that was very unsympathetic. Camille didn't know that Conall didn't trust Dante very much, obviously, or any of the other drama surrounding him. All she knew was that Dante seemed to be pretty high up on the triangle, and that she was very low on it.
It was a little nerve-racking.
Camille looked over at Sergio, who was looking at her. "Well, go on. . Explain," she prompted him. Sure, Sergio was kind of a block head, but he'd been here longer than her and so he most likely knew better than her what to say. Oh man, this was such a bad week. Camille hoped it stayed a bad week, and didn't become a bad month or year or decade.

Sergio took a deep breath and word vomited everything that had happened to him and Camille. He left out the parts about the mystery lover. That was for another time and another debriefing. Conall regarded Sergio and Camille for a moment, scratching his beard. Dante had always been known to have a temper and he knew what Sergio had to do. He’d been the one who asked him to do it, after all.
“I have a mission I can send you on, it’s about a week stakeout,” he said, making no comment on what Sergio had said.
He was being surprisingly merciful. Normally he would have told anyone else to suck it up and get over it. Take a few hits, like a man, he’d say. He needed Sergio around though, so going out of his way to keep him out of trouble, especially in an accident, was worth it. Sergio glanced at Camille and grinned.

Camille nodded. She was relieved, to be honest, even if she didn't show it. She'd breath her sighs of relief once they got outside, because they weren't quite done yet. Still, though, being gone for a week would be good. That would hopefully be enough time for Dante to cool the fuck off. Or, you know, plot his revenge. Camille wasn't so relieved anymore once she thought that.
Although she wasn't quite sure if Dante had any plans of revenge past shooting them. Or beating them up. In any case, maybe, just maybe he would calm down in a week. Camille was hopeful, although she doubted anything good would happen. After all, it was Dante she was thinking about, the King of Dickery. He wasn't nice, he was just a creeper. Him being nice probably rarely happened.
He had been nice to her the first night she'd been there, Camille recalled, but hey. Maybe he had just been in a really good mood that night.

Sergio grinned at Camille when they left the tent.
“See? Whadid I say?” he said, pretty happy with himself, “We needta get outta here fast, yeah? I’ll meetcha at your tent in five.”
He charged off and began to pack a few things into a rucksack when in his tent. They would need a few stealth things. They could always hunt for food. He found he rather liked Camille and his fighting dynamic. He was the bruiser, she was a badass with a gun; worked out nicely, regardless of the situation. Not every time can one shoot bullets or drive a sword into something. This balanced them out. Sergio was glad he’d found Camille that day, even if she did kill that Hellmouth instead of him.
Once finished, he pulled the rucksack over his shoulder and ran off toward Camille’s tent. He’d already been wearing his armor, so he just had to wait for her.

After they left the tent, Camille let out a sigh of relief. "Alright, five minutes. Sounds good," she said, before going back to her tent, as fast as she could. She really didn't want to run into Dante, and she was counting on the fact that he was, ah, busy with other things at the moment. If she was right about him, he certainly would be.
When Camille got back to her tent, she threw what she needed into a backpack. She felt kind of weird carrying around a backpack, but whatever. It was necessary, and it was practical, so why not? She set the sniper rifle down, figuring that she most likely wouldn't need it. Even if she needed to snipe something- And she doubted that she had to- She still had a gun, right? Even though an assault rifle wasn't the best thing she could use. Still, though, she didn't want to have to carry too much.
She left her tent to find Sergio standing there. "Well, let's go," Camille said, smiling wryly. Hopefully, they would get out without complications.

Sergio nodded, hauling his rucksack over his shoulder again. Conall told them to be in a specific area at a certain time and stay there for a week. They had to report what they had found when they came back. Sergio thought it sounded a lot like a normal scouting mission. It just happened to help them get out of Dante’s hair and very far away from crossing his path for a very long time. He took off jogging toward their objective point.
Conall exited the tent to watch them leave. As soon as they were out of sight, his skin began to ripple and Piper returned to her preferred form. She giggled, knowing that plan worked. She sent them in a very interesting direction. Hopefully they came back alive, but then again, maybe not. Piper quickly turned into a generic hunter to return to Dante’s tent.
