Dago was glad she didn’t ask, though he knew she wasn’t an idiot. She must suspect something, but was respecting Lilith by not forcing it out of him. He nodded and peered out over the cliff, keeping a careful eye on the top of the intimidating looking Pride Castle. He couldn’t see anything inside of it, but there was a tower, which is what he assumed Lilith would put the fire.
Lilith, several miles away, was just entering the Pride Castle, just as she would any other time. No one thought of her as particularly dangerous or threatening to anyone. In fact, because they knew who she was, she was immediately granted audience with Lucifer in his private study. This was going better than she expected. She had the seal ready and even the game she knew he would play in her mind…
Just over a half an hour later, there was a sudden and bright blazing fire appeared in the tower that Dago had been watching. He blinked to make sure he actually saw it; that was pretty damn fast, for whatever it is Lilith did.
“There it is,” he called to Natalie, “There’s the fire.”

Natalie looked down at the fire. There was the signal, and this was her moment, her moment to show Lilith just how grateful she was for everything that the other woman had done for her. . Saving her from Mammon, turning her into a vampire, giving her a place to stay, actually showing her compassion. . She took a deep breath before turning to her troops. "It's time to go," she called, signalling them to follow, before beginning to head down towards the Pride Castle.
It was show time.
Natalie had to go in and take over the Pride Castle. They had to hold onto it as long as they could. . No, as long as it took for Lilith to get everything else under control. Natalie wasn't sure how she was planning on getting the other castles with everyone over here, but she had trust in Lilith to get everything that needed to be done done.

Things inside the castle looked fairly normal, considering what was supposed to be happening. The sight of a bunch of soldier-like demons didn’t seem to ruffle anyone either. They were actually outright ignored or scorned with a side of serious annoyance. The army made their way to the throne room, where Lillith stood with a very large male lion curiously in her arms. It looked much too big and heavy for her to have picked up, but there it was, prone in her grasp.
“Pride circle, your king is dead!” she bellowed and disappeared just when she saw the army arrive.
It was about then that everyone dropped what they were doing in shock. There was a pregnant moment of reflection before everyone started panicking. Dago realized this was the chance that Lilith intended on giving Natalie, so he grabbed her shoulder in the midst of the screaming of Pride demons.
“Natalie, Lilith told me that you have to take over,” he shouted as loudly as he could to her.

Natalie's eyes widened when Dago told her that she was supposed to take over, and she turned to him, her face bearing an uncharacteristic look of shock. Wait. What? Well, then, she could do that, at least, as unexpected as it was. Natalie's face returned to its normal, neutral expression, and she ran up and climbed up on top of a table. She pulled out her gun, raised it to the ceiling, and shot once. Hopefully, people would hear it over the sound of the screaming- After all, guns were rather loud, and had Natalie been human, her ears would have hurt from being so close to the gun.
"I'm in charge of the Pride Circle now," she said coolly, but loudly enough for everyone to hear. Her eyes were narrowed and her voice sounded confident. She had to show that she was completely capable now. She had to be, for Lilith. "If anyone has any objection, speak now, or forever hold your peace."

When Natalie got everyone’s attention, everyone stopped screaming for a moment. Dago quickly shoved a couple of the demons in their little army forward, to surround the table she stood on. After she said her piece there could be a pindrop heard in the throne room. Suddenly, a couple Morning Star children fell to their knees and bowed like they would for royalty.
“Hail the new Queen!” came the shout from somewhere near the back of the hall.
Dago blinked a couple of times. That was easier than he thought it would have been, but he didn’t spot Lucifer’s right hand men anywhere. It appeared that most Pride demons were cowards at best. He glanced up at Natalie and offered her a hand to help her off of the table.
He was trying to figure out a way to mention that she would probably have to rule the Pride Circle without Lilith, but the words didn’t come immediately. It could wait, couldn’t it?

Natalie smiled smugly when the Morning Star children bowed down to her, and when she was hailed as the new queen. Well, then, long live Queen Natalie, she thought. She looked down at Dago's hand, but didn't take it. After all, she was the Lord of Pride now, and she had an image, and she couldn't receive help getting down from tables. Instead, she jumped down from the table, landing gracefully, and looked over her new kingdom.
Lucifer had some really creepy looking demons, was her first thought.
Natalie found herself wondering when Lilith would come back, but she didn't ask Dago, not yet. She didn't want to ask him in front of all of her new subjects, after all. That. . Might not appear so good. She'd have to ask him if he had instructions on what to do next, too. She wasn't quite sure on what she was supposed to do as the new Lord of Pride.
Knowing Lilith, of course, it was not harass mortals, not that Natalie wanted to do that anyway.

Dago didn’t know about decorum nor did he care much, but he wasn’t terribly surprised when Natalie refused his help. He didn’t really know what they were supposed to do right now either. He figured Natalie had a better idea of that anyway. He also would’ve heartily agreed with her on the demons in the Pride circle. They all looked like deformed masses of clay and it was generally squicky in the worst ways.
He did have a hunch what had happened to Lilith; he had been there when Lucifer had freed Beelzebub… Now he had a sinking feeling that might be where Lilith would end up, considering she had killed the King of Pride.
Speaking of… Lilith reappeared in front of Dago and Natalie, looking considerably frantic. She grabbed Dago’s sleeve and hissed, “You have to turn me in or you both will die.”
His eyes darted over to Natalie to see if she heard that.

Unfortunately for Lilith, Natalie did hear that. It was a little hard to not notice her boss popping up from the middle of nowhere into her new castle and then speaking to Dago, as quiet as she was trying to be. Vampires did have good hearing, after all, and all around good senses.
Natalie looked over at Lilith, confused. "Wait, turn you in? Why would we do that. .?" she asked, trying to speak as quietly as possible. It didn't make sense to her. They'd taken over the Pride Castle. . Why would Lilith want to be turned in? It wasn't like she had planned on giving up from the start. . Er, right?
Natalie didn't understand this at all. Hadn't Lilith been trying to take over Hell? Or something like that? Besides. . She couldn't let Lilith stay locked up in a box for 200 years like Beelzebub, she couldn't do that to her. .

Lilith had assumed she would have been caught by now, but she hadn’t been, so she panicked and came back.
“If they find out it was a plot by me to put you in power, they’ll just kill you,” Lilith said frantically, moving toward Natalie, “I put Lucifer in the Berlin Zoo, but they don’t know that and they won’t find him. They’ll think he’s dead and if it’s my fault, but not yours, they won’t do anything to you.”
She knew why Natalie might be apprehensive about this. Lilith herself was apprehensive, too!
“Don’t worry, please, just do this,” Lilith pleaded, “I’ll figure it out.”
She wasn’t about to tell Natalie that this was her plan from the start. That would be too much of a shock right now. Dago could tell her later if he wanted to, but right now she needed to make sure that neither one of them died. Especially Natalie, she was so important right now.

Natalie stared blankly at Lilith. "But. ." she began, trying to think of something, anything to say to Lilith. She didn't want to get her imprisoned, didn't want her to be stuck in a box by those sick freaks the Lords of Sin. . She ignored the fact that she was now among their numbers; it didn't matter at all, she wasn't like them. Natalie glanced over at Dago, trying to get his help, his support, trying to get him to say anything at all.
But there was nothing. Lilith was right. If anyone found out that it had been a plot to put Natalie in power from the start, then they'd kill her and Dago and put Lilith in that box anyway, and Natalie doubted that anyone would be too keen on helping Lilith get out then. Natalie swallowed back the lump in her throat and took Lilith's forearm. "Alright," she finally said. "We'll get you out, I promise."
