Demons appear in many forms and sizes. They typically follow a certain Lord corresponding to the seven deadly sins. If a hunter has fallen to one of the Sins, it would be harder for them to fight a demon of the same Lord. Every demon has a 'true name' that is often just a symbol. Any rituals or magic will be stronger against that demon if their 'true name' is invoked, but it is not necessary.
There are four Crown Princes of Hell, they do not have armies, but are very, very dangerous. This is all the information compiled about demons that humans know, not to say there isn’t much more to discover.
There isn’t anything in this handbook about how to defeat these demons, because that will differ depending on the hunter. Often, they are weak to one method, and resist others, but no one is truly sure which are weak and which are resistant.

Lust – Asmodai Under command of the second level of Hell, (the first being Limbo) Asmodai is responsible for twising and perverting the sexual desires of man. He is a jealous demon, having many lovers and several wives, and will quickly strike down those who dare to defile his women. He is common in the depths of Hell, but can be found among the living on the surface, scouring for the next beauty that will come his way.
Succubae/Incubi – the children of Asmodai, they are numerous and all dangerous, they appear as beautiful men and women, with skin red as fire and with eyes black as night, along with curled horns atop their head. They feed off of lifeforce from any of their orifices, most commonly the seed of a man.
Satyrs – the perverted souls under Asmodai’s grasp. They are the mortals that succumbed to the wiles of the sin of Lust. They have the legs of a goat and are very hairy.
7 Golden Witches – the Seven are the most adored wives of Asmodai, they are named Beatrice, Virgilia, Antenora, Caina, Antona, Olivia, and Anelida. They are less powerful respectively, Anelida being the most recent wife. They all appear to be beautiful women, but have the power of a witch and should be approached with caution.

Gluttony – Beelzebub Formerly over the third level of Hell, Beelzebub is no longer in control because of a coup he set against Satan himself, he is now being punished, but will be released eventually. It is his duty to warp the needs of man, namely how he eats. He will often appear as a giant fly, but also has a man-form. His ‘human’ form is tall and large, with two great bat wings extending from his shoulders. His is in command of flies and is often referred to as ‘The Lord of the Flies.’
Swarms of Flies – these demonic fly swarms bring decay to anything they touch, they are very hard to fight because they are many, but certain techniques will extinguish them quickly. They appear as just what they say, a swarm of flies, they are a bit bigger than normal flies and have red bodies.
Insects of Possession – insects that appear as flies with purple bodies and red eyes, about the size of a quarter. They fly into the ears of man and burrow into their heads. It is very hard to extract the demon from its host, but it is still possible.
Engorged Souls – the souls of man who have succumbed to gluttony. They appear to be very obese, often cannot walk, but will drag themselves along the ground. They eat anything that will stop long enough for them to chew on.

Envy – Leviathan In control of half the fourth circle of Hell, Leviathan is a demon of water, he has control over all the evil beings in the sea. He appears as a handsome man, too handsome, many are jealous of his looks, obviously. He appears with long hair that constantly has sea creatures and salt in it. He holds the typical trident and is in command of all the riches of the sea.
Sea Serpents – The Sea Serpents range in size from very small, to very large, largest being their King Lotan. They come in many colors and are poisonous, they are scaly with huge black eyes.
The Hellmouth – The Hellmouth are beasts that have the souls of the Envious in their maws. They run the earth collecting the souls of the dead that are envious. They look like feral dogs that have mated with seals, having the mouth of a dog, but the tail of a seal. They are either black as night or green like the ocean.
Tiamat – Tiamat is under the command of Leviathan. She is not technically evil, but it suits her purpose. Early man betrayed her after she protected them from the wrath of God, so now she seeks the end of man, being jealous they have the ‘right’ to remain above the ground.
Kraken – the Kraken is a great beast, appearing like a giant squid, but with more arms. It is the size of two blue whales. It is constantly hungry and will eat entire ships, crew and all.

Greed – Mammon In years past, Mammon appeared as an evil merchant, nowadays he might appear as a Wall Street crawler. He is in command of the other half of the fourth circle of Hell. His brother is Leviathan, and they are complete opposites. Leviathan thinks nothing but the wealth of his brother, and Leviathan thinks nothing of the future wealth he could gain. He is a demon of the Air, finishing off their opposite nature.
The False Gods – Idols that are meant to trick and confuse those lost along God’s path, they can have any form, typically that of a Calf or a Cat. They are made of precious material, and do not move, but have the power to bewitch.
Hell Wolves – the scavengers of the underworld, they will search out anything that they desire, often it is human flesh, so beware. They appear to be normal wolves, but larger.
Soul Collectors – The Soul Collectors appear as handsome men, well dressed and contemporary. They are famous for making ‘Deals with the Devil’ and entice those who desire with the things they want.
Scavengers – Greedy souls sent to Hell for their lack of charity, they scrape and scrounge for anything of worth, they appear as a man with two torsos and two heads, one being a frugal man who hoards his money, the other being an Epicurean man who spends without thought. If Scavenger is on the surface, he appears as one man, but will switch faces, prone to steal and murder for what they want.

Wrath – Amon He is in command of the seventh circle of Hell, the circle of violence. He is a terrible demon, often appearing with blood smeared all over his clothes and spattered on his face. Other times he will appear as a feral dog, or even a man with a dog’s head. He is devastatingly strong and very cruel. All of the tortures in Hell were created by him.
The Furious – these malevolent souls are relentless, they appear as crazed humans, possibly with wounds that should have killed them. Once they are truly angered, they will stop at nothing, short of a second death, to kill their target.
Hell Ravens – these dirty scavenging birds will attack the closest thing that holds still long enough. They peck and eat away at corpses in Hell, they don’t think the surface should be any different. Their favorite meals are Eyes That See Red, namely eyes of people who are feeling wrathful.
The Unavenged – poor souls that have been done wrong in their living lives and have felt the anger of being unavenged that entire time are the Unavenged. They appear to be helpless people, often with injuries that relate to their betrayal. They are not immediately dangerous, but will suck away at someone’s will and soul.
Hecate – The angry Witch of Hell. She often appears at a beautiful young woman whose only marring feature is her teeth like a Hell Hound. She plots revenge against past lovers and will mistake someone for one of them often.

Pride – Lucifer Lucifer is often confused for the Devil Himself, but he is not. He is the son of Satan, not born naturally, by woman, but torn from Satan’s own flesh and seed; constructed, then given the breath of life. He is over the sixth level of Hell, those who are prideful enough to believe they are better than God and the Devil. Lucifer can appear as a great lion with glittering gold fangs, but will often appear as a political figure or other leader.
Hell's Eagles – creatures who represent pride in one’s country to the extreme. They do no just appear as eagles, they take a ferocious form of whatever country’s symbol the person in front of them fears or prides the most. They rip and tear out eyes and hearts, those being the places pride is born.
Morning Star Children – They are the bastard children of Lucifer and separately of Satan. They have warped bodies, but are convinced they are special and beautiful because of their birth. They act and look a lot like Zombies and will similarly try to eat anyone that comes their way.
Citizens of Tyre – Tyre is the great city in Hell. Their citizens are in great numbers and on the surface really only have one power, and that is to possess. Below, in Hell, they have the power to fight, but are really only a strong as an above-average human.

Sloth – Belphegor Belphegor has no circle of Hell, often his followers and victims will simple stay where they end up in Hell, having not motivation to move on. He appears as a rich man who is charitable with his money if you give him your ideas, but most often he will appear as an obese man in an electric wheelchair with many devices attached to the chair and his body keeping him alive.
Hell Cats – often accused of being very lazy animals, the Hell Cats are simply that: large cats with no desire to move or to hunt. They look emaciated, but are very strong and will attack and eat anyone that disturbs their slumber.
Avril – the 'wife of Belphegor' she claims, is actually just Belphegor in a female form. She is very beautiful and will try to tempt men into staying in bed with her all day. She is appealing to many young men by saying that they are doing ‘sufficient’ and they didn't need to work any longer to please her.
Slaves of Invention – these men and women may have made something great in their lives, but it was the only thing and they did not want to work to create something better. Often, they will have sold their Souls to Belphegor for the invention, so are stuck here for eternity. They will try to steal another soul, if they aren’t careful.

Belial (North Prince of Hell) As the North Prince of Hell, Belial has dominion over most of Hell. He is the Prince of Fire and is guilty of the sin of Wrath and Pride. He is the most powerful of the Four and appears as a great military leader. He will look like he is wise in years and ruthless, both being the truth, but often he will lead armies to their doom on a whim.
Baphomet (West Prince of Hell) Baphomet is the Prince of Earth, so has the second most dominion over hell. He is guilty of Sloth and Lust, having many wives and really no desire to surpass his better, Belial. He is a man who could possibly have it all, but has no motivation. That being said, he is likely the least dangerous of the Princes. He will look like a handsome man, or once was, because he is rather obese. He will only fight if truly necessary and has gotten in trouble for letting heroes pass before.
Sheol (East Prince of Hell) Sheol is actually a woman. She is the Prince of Air and is guilty of Envy and Wrath. Her father is Leviathan, like Mastema, but her mother is unknown. She is envious of her younger sister Mastema, who is more beautiful and on par with Sheol in power. She will appear as a great beauty and will try to make men do her bidding, killing them if they refuse.
Mastema (South Prince of Hell) Like Sheol, Mastema is a woman. She is the Prince of Water, and is a direct daughter of Leviathan and Lilith. She is guilty of Pride and Lust, having many children of her own. She will appear as a woman with long black hair from the sea, so beautiful that men will fall at her feet. She is the carrier of many diseases in her womb, so it is a bad idea to succumb to her Lust. She doesn’t consider her sister Sheol to be her equal, but is slightly less powerful than her.

Lilith and her Court Lilith isn’t evil by normal standards. She was sent to Hell by a fire-sermon priest, saying that she was a dirty woman to be so independent of Adam. She is Adam’s first wife, who refused to be his lesser and left Eden. She soon found Samael and they are now inseparable. She was given a spot in Hell by Satan, to keep her safe. She is one of his favorite lovers.
Vampires – the vampires are Lilith’s first line of defense. They use lust and violence to lure in their victims. They are often beautiful, regardless of gender. One of the first vampires was the soldier who pierced Christ’s side and killed him. Christ’s blood fell on his lips and he was cursed to forever hungered it.
Owls – Owls are Lilith’s favorite pet. They are wise, vicious, and see all. They speak to humans looking for Lilith and will lead them astray.
Samael – The fallen Angel who never leaves Lilith’s side. He has great black raven’s wings and will die to protect Lilith. He found her weeping outside of Eden and fell in love with the poor woman. Because of this love for a woman, he fell from grace and is now a denizen of Hell with the woman he loves. He has a spear to fight and protect her with.
Adulterous Couples – often, Lilith will see in the entrance of Hell a couple that has been sent to Hell because of their love. She will pity them and take them into her small spot of Hell. When they are accidentally on the surface, they will try to tempt mortals into her care, but think nothing badly of it. She takes good care of them, so why wouldn’t she care for others?
The Tarasque – a great beast that looks like a lion and a dragon, this is the steed of Lilith. It will protect her ferociously and can fly her away from danger, though it has no wings. It feeds on human flesh and will kill without thinking.
