“Pain doesn’t mean much to me either,” Dago said with a shrug.
That sounded like too much information, but he didn’t mean it that way. If she knew about his magic, it might make a bit more sense, but the way he shrugged it off made it sound like he was some kind of pain slut.
He blinked a few times when she tugged on his shirt, but obliged her and leaned down toward her. He ground his teeth a bit to try to regain some focus. Well, that was one way to learn you junk still worked, but he had to know what was going on. Why the hell did vampires have to be sexy? Whispering in his ear was about the worst way to get a point across if you wanted him to remember it.
“Wait, what do you mean ‘take it back?’” he asked, with a clenched jaw, “How?”

Natalie raised her eyebrows. Well, he was guilty of lust. . Oh well. If he didn't mind it, then that was easier for her, she supposed, and would be far less traumatic for him. Then again, she figured that it would be far less traumatic for him than it had been for her anyway, considering who was actually doing the turning this time.
"You'll have to bite my wrist and suck the blood back out," Natalie said, before holding her wrist up to level with his mouth. "Like I said, a very bloody and disgusting process." Well, perhaps it was a good thing that Natalie had the power to do this and not Lilith. Natalie didn't want Lilith to have to stand through this awful ritual.
Natalie wasn't aware that whispering it in his ear wasn't the best way to get her point across. She had been trying to be considerate for once and not hurt his ears by being too loud.

Dago might have mentioned the fact that he could share sensation, but he figured his magic died with him, so it didn’t matter. Little did he know about the nature of innate magic. It was with his soul, not with his body, but if he knew that, he would have mentioned it, too.
“Alright,” he said, bracing himself for a bit, “I’m ready then.”
He really hoped that he grew some damn fangs before he had to bite her or this would be kind of awkward. He fully expected this to be really painful, too, considering there was no hypnotism or glamour involved. Oh well, at least he understood now. Well, he could be glad for two things: he understood and he didn’t sleep naked last night. That would have made things doubly awkward, not just because he wouldn’t be wearing clothes.
“You’ll tell me, right?” he said, kind of hesitantly. He hadn’t felt real pain in awhile.

"Yes, I will," Natalie said after a moment's hesitation. She really shouldn't take out anything that had happened to her onto him. Besides, she might as well try to not make him hate her. That wouldn't be very efficient, Natalie thought. Fear was good, but loathing was not. And especially not in Las Vegas.
Natalie sunk her teeth into Dago's neck and her eyes suddenly widened in pain. Holy shit, her neck burned and it felt like someone was biting her. Was it really this horrible to turn someone? Was Satan laughing to himself as he thought about Lilith having to turn someone? She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to ignore the pain as she sucked the blood out of Dago's neck. Oh god, this was horrible; it felt like someone was sucking her blood out. Natalie hated this, it felt horrible and it was horrible and if she was alive she would probably be crying right now. .
Finally, after what seemed like eternity, Natalie took her fangs out of Dago's neck. "Now," she hissed, ready to begin sucking out his blood again.

Dago shut his eyes when Natalie bit into his neck. He opened them back up after awhile, realizing this wasn’t hurting half as much as he thought it should. He didn’t even make a noise. He didn’t immediately connect it to his power until he realized that he might want to relax instead of keep tensing up because he thought it would hurt. It obviously wasn’t. The moment he relaxed a little, the pain came flooding back to him, shit, that could only mean one thing!
He could feel the color draining from his face as Natalie drained him of his blood. He felt kind of weak in the legs, like he might pass out and fall down at any second. He looked at Natalie’s wrist weakly, realizing this was the only way he was getting out of this alive. He bit into her wrist as hard as he could, this time, drawing all the pain toward him, as an apology for making her feel most of it when she began to drain him. He made a muffled cry at the amount of pain, but it was nothing compared to when she’d start draining again. He could feel the warmth in his mouth and he began to feel stronger than he had been before.

Natalie noticed that it hurt less and less as time went on, and when he bit into her, it didn't hurt at all except at the beginning for a few seconds. Strange, she thought. Oh well, she would investigate later to see what on earth was going on. In the meantime, she had someone to turn. She bit back into Dago, and continued sucking his blood for about five more minutes.
After about five minutes were up, she stopped sucking his blood and took her fangs out of his neck. "Continue taking your blood back," she told him, waiting as patiently as she could for him to finish. She still thought it was weird how this had progressed, though, in terms of pain. At first it had hurt her a lot, then it. . Didn't. Hm.
"You can stop now," Natalie finally said when Dago had gotten all of his blood back. Well, she hoped that her first time turning someone was a success!

Dago continued to take the blood out of Natalie’s wrist. He was terribly glad when she finished draining the blood out of him. That shit hurt like fuck and he wanted to have a fucking party when that part was over. He pulled away from her wrist. He felt a hell of a lot stronger now. He felt… different really. It was weird as hell, but he liked it.
He grinned at Natalie and sure enough, he had pointed eyeteeth now. That should make things a lot simpler in the future.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize I would still be able to use magic,” he said, raking his hand through his hair, “I wouldn’t have done that if I knew.”
He didn’t remember that she didn’t know anything about his magic. He was used to being around people who did know. He also didn’t know that innate powers were kind of rare.

Natalie noticed his pointed teeth. Perfect. This had gone well, then, and now she knew how to proceed in the future. She checked the time; it had been about an hour. She wasn't sure when Lilith would be getting back, but she would have to inform her that Dago was now a vampire. Well, then, Natalie counted this as a success.
Natalie's eyes narrowed. "Magic?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. "You can still use magic despite dying? Tell me, Dago, what kind of magic could you use while alive?" She didn't know that Dago had an innate power that was attached to his soul. Otherwise, she certainly would have told Lilith that. Innate powers were rare, and perhaps the fact that he had one would make him even more useful, even if it was just something simply like physical sensation pushing and shoving. Any little bit helped, Natalie would have supposed.

“I was… a passive mage, I mostly used barriers and shields,” he said, slightly confused at why she was still interested, “I wasn’t all that useful, but I was—am a certified surgeon. Sharing sensation helped that a little.”
He rubbed the bite marks on his neck. They still kind of hurt.
“I… don’t really know how I was using magic,” he said with a lame shrug, “I assumed it would be gone the moment I died. I couldn’t use barriers, though. What the fuck does that mean?”
He hoped that she knew, because he was confused.
“So, what does it mean, now that I’m a vampire? What sort of stuff can I do?” he said, looking at his hands.
Drinking blood was the stereotype, but it came with benefits, right? He also knew the part about staying out of the sun, but for all he knew, all of that was a lie!

Natalie nodded. Hm, that explained why he had told her pain didn't affect him much. She had just assumed he was talking about something kinky or something. Her eyes narrowed when Dago mentioned the magic living on with him, but not being able to use barrier magic. Hmm. She checked her watch. It had been about an hour; Lilith probably wasn't back yet.
So Dago had an innate talent? Well, then, that was interesting. Perhaps it would be useful, even if it just was something like sharing physical sensations. She would have to tell Lilith, then, once the woman got back from Purgatory.
"Yes, you're a vampire now," Natalie said. "You have superstrength and superspeed, and such, and you can. . Well, bite people. You have to drink blood about once a month, and sunlight will kill you. You're now allergic to silver, too. Oh, and try to avoid rice. Just on general principle." She flinched. Rice wasn't a very fun thing to run into.
