Natalie checked her watch. Hopefully, Lilith would be back by now. She walked over to Lilith's drawing room and knocked on the door politely. She had to tell her about the day. It hadn't gone smoothly, per se, but it had gone better than Natalie could have hoped for.
Dago was now a vampire and Natalie had a way of communicating with him. She was confident that he would be able to figure out how to use his phone eventually. He would have to, simply, because Natalie needed to have a way to contact him.
Oh, also, Natalie had to tell Lilith about Dago's innate powers. Sharing physical sensations. That was an. . Interesting power, and Natalie hoped she never had to turn anyone again who had a power like that. It had made the beginning really, really painful.
She supposed getting her wrist bitten would have hurt either way, but it was much better than the sensation of getting your mortal neck bitten was.

Lilith was sitting in her drawing room, back at her easel. She held her charcoal pencil delicately in her hands when Natalie knocked on the door. She immediately got up and opened the door, immediately smiling when she saw who it was.
“Oh lovely, Natalie, come in, please,” she said, letting the woman enter, “You’ll have to tell me exactly what happened with our new little soldier.”
Lilith was very excited about the idea of starting a small vampire army. So many people were down here in Hell, suffering for eternity, it was nice to let someone who Lilith had judged to be a good person to return to his life, somewhat. She had done the research after all, and now she knew what she was going to make him do to prove himself. Seeing Natalie was an amazing step forward, though she didn’t expect any problems to go on.

Natalie walked inside. "Hello," she greeted politely. "Well, I turned him, so he's now a vampire. Of course, after I turned him, he told me he has innate magic. He didn't seem to know it is innate, but he said he could share physical sensations. Considering he accidentally passed the pain from the bite onto me at first, I believe him." Well, that was her report on Dago and his magic. Oh, wait, there was more, wasn't there? "He mentioned that he was a barrier mage when alive as well." So he had been a passive mage. Hm, interesting.
"Anyway, he's also very. . Eager to return to the surface. I gave him a cell phone for communication, and although he had some trouble using it at first, I think he'll get used to it soon enough," Natalie said. Or at least she hoped so. Dago not learning how to use a phone ever wouldn't be very good for her.

Lilith shut the door behind Natalie and listened to what she was saying intently. Innate magic? That was extremely lucky for them! Sharing sensations, that is kind of strange… Her mind was moving very quickly now that she had this information.
“Oh, it hurt you to turn him?” said Lilith, concerned, but intrigued, “Are you alright? Sharing sensations? That’s very strange! That’s interesting; I wonder how it can help us.”
Barrier magic wasn’t important, especially not now that he was dead and that magic was long gone.
“Eager is fine, since I have his task,” she said, “If everything is fine, I’ll send him out immediately, then. I wonder what affect this will have on the mages.”
She felt like she was talking too much, but this whole thing had so much potential. She gave Natalie a strange look when she said he had trouble with a phone. Weren’t they common mortal things?

Natalie frowned. "A bit, at first, but he seemed to realize what he was doing a few minutes in and took the pain. He took all of it when he bit my wrist as well," she said. She paused for a second before continuing. "He told me before the process began that he didn't mind pain. I guess this was why. He must have gotten used to it or something."
Natalie wasn't sure how Dago's physical sensation sharing could help them, either, otherwise she would have offered some ideas. Oh well, she would think on it and when she came up with something, then she would tell Lilith.
"What's his task?" Natalie asked, raising her eyebrows. She was curious now- She had been before, but now Lilith was sure of it. She shrugged when Lilith gave her the strange look about the phone. She was certain that they were common mortal things as well, but maybe some mortals didn't like to use them?

Lilith put her hand under her chin in thought. Well, this new boy was proving more and more interesting. She originally thought that maybe he would simply be around to keep the Order of mages out of their hair while they did what they needed in Hell, but it seemed that there was something else there.
“However unlikely this might be, did he mention an occupation?” she said, trying to put together where and how he figured out he had this innate power.
Lilith wasn’t aware of the full picture, or she’d have ideas already. It already seemed like a quite off-putting means of torture and interrogation.
“I’ll give him the choice between celibacy or monogamy for three years,” she said, “I searched through his judgment file and found he spent a lot of time and holds a lot of honest affection for the new Head of the Order. He’ll be monogamous with him.”
Lilith smiled at the thought. Even if the new Head of the Order denied him, he couldn’t cheat on him and Lilith knew that would be hard. In reality, the choice was celibacy from the get-go or an attempt at a temporary monogamy.

Natalie nodded. "Yes, he said he's a surgeon," she said to Lilith. Well, that might find a way to be useful as well, although Natalie wasn't quite sure how it might be useful. Oh well, when it was, she would figure it out.
"The new Head of the Order?" Natalie asked, blinking. Well, she supposed that it was bound to happen soon enough- After all, Dimitri Archer must have named a successor. "Who is that? And that sounds like an excellent idea, also." She nodded. Well, if Lilith thought that Dago would be monogamous with whoever this new Head of the Order was, then Natalie believed her. After all, Lilith was an empath, and so she was able to tell these sorts of things.
Natalie and Lilith worked well together, Natalie thought. That was always a good thing, working well with someone.

A surgeon, thought Lilith, that made sense then and would fit in nicely with the idea that he’d be an interrogator, considering he’d know the body quite well. Lilith nearly laughed out loud at the thought, suddenly remembering what sin he was guilty of. Oh well, that bit of talent wasn't going to come in handy for awhile, at least.
“Good, that gives me a better idea of what we can do with him,” Lilith said, tapping a finger on her chin.
She stopped thinking so much when Natalie mentioned the new Head of the Order.
“Yes, his name is Marian Havas II,” she said, wishing she’d brought the files, but that was impossible, “Apparently Dimitri Archer chose him before he died, which I suppose is good, for the upstairs anyway.”
Lilith opened the door again, “I suppose I’ll be sending him off right now, then,” she said, “I’ve already made the terms of proving his loyalty and now I have nearly no use for him, do you agree?”

Natalie raised her eyebrows. "Oh?" she asked, curious as to what they would do with him. Heal things or something? No, he was a doctor, not a healer, and even if he had been a healer once, he had lost his magic.
Besides, Dago had told her anyway that he was a barrier mage, so there wasn't even any reason to think about that.
"Hm," Natalie said, thinking. She hadn't ever heard anything about Marian Havas II, not even the entire deal with Baphomet- And even if she had, it had been four and a half years since then, so it didn't even matter. In any case, she didn't think the name was particularly recognizable. "Interesting."
"Yes, I agree," Natalie said. "It sounds good. So those are the only terms of his loyalty, then?" Monogamy or chastity. Well, that would be an interesting challenge for a person guilty of lust to overcome for certain.

Lilith nodded, “Think about the possibilities for interrogation, if necessary,” she said with a smile, “Thankfully, we aren’t at that stage in our plan yet, so he can be absent for awhile.”
She wasn’t concerned about the healing part, she was concerned with the knowledge that came with being able to heal people. One who could heal could just as easily harm without too much damage to the body.
Lilith nodded, continuing with her hope that Dago’s presence might distract that particular faction from interfering, unknowingly or not.
“If he doesn’t follow what I ask of him, he’ll be immediately transported back here,” she said, “After that, I may give him another task, but I have three years to think of it. Did you want to see him off?”
She gestured out the door, offering Natalie to go out in front of her.
