Dom wasn’t entirely sure what to think of Simon quite yet. He seemed a bit overdramatic and had his head in the clouds and his feet nowhere near the ground. Dom found this kind of amusing. Dom tried to be the most realistic he possibly could be, it was the only way he could deal with a lot of junk. Even if, someone who was a bit fantastical made him realize that things weren’t always cold facts.
Dom laughed when Simon said Chicago was interesting, “It’s not all that great. It gets too cold in the winter and there isn’t much else exciting about it.”
He supposed that his opinion of his hometown came from the fact that it held a lot of bad memories for him. His parents were from the northern suburbs and he’d even tried to drown himself downtown. Sure there were interesting things to do, but it was the same old same old for Dom, as well.
“Uhm, anyway, I have to finish this,” he said, indicating to the cauldron that was soon to bubble over, “You can stay if you want.”
