Even if Hakan’s face didn’t show it, Dago could already feel the temperature rise in his body. Being a vampire had those weird side effects; it was a lot like being an animal, but feeding off of blood. That was likely what would happen if he refused to feed, he’d give into baser desires and lose control. Kind of like he was feeling now with this whole sexual frustration business, though he had a lot more control over that… He hoped to keep it that way.
Dago held up his hands, “You don’t need to tell me, not my business, right?”
His mouth twitched a bit in amusement, but he was trying to seem completely serious. Yasuo had already explained all of that, nearly verbatim, to Dago already. The way Hakan was making it sound made it like Yasuo shared a bed with his brother, too, which Yasuo left out.
“You’re not interested in him, then?” Dago said, lowering his hands.

Hakan wasn't aware that Dago could sense his body heat or anything like that. He figured that Dago was a human being, just like him or Yasuo or anyone else at the Order. He sighed and nodded. "Right," he said, certain that Dago thought that him and Yasuo were sleeping together. There was nothing wrong with Yasuo or anything, but him and Yasuo were good friends and it was frustrating.
Besides, he didn't want that ruining his chances with Dago, who had obviously flirted with him and who was obviously quite attractive.
Hakan shook his head. "Nope," he confirmed. "He's a really close friend and we were a Chao Xi pair before the temple burned down. I'm not interested in him at all; he's really just like a little brother." Hakan assumed that Dago understood what Chao Xi pairs were, not realizing that if one squinted they could be seen as some sort of sexual or romantic relationship.

Dago brought it up to see if Hakan would defend himself. That was a pretty obvious indicator that he wanted Dago to think he was unattached and Dago was perfectly okay with that.
He shrugged, still content on playing the game, “I mean, unless you want me to know, of course.”
“Good,” Dago said plainly, with a grin, “He does lend himself to that, doesn’t he?”
He had a guess what a Chao Xi pair was, but he could still play ignorant and pretend, but he’d already seen enough proof. Looks like flirting with Hakan would be fun for the next six months, especially since he knew he’d have to patient about it. He wondered if it was breaking the rules to pursue him and exactly how far… Lilith hadn’t exactly been very specific. Well, he’d avoid the obvious for awhile and if anyone bitched about it, he was allowed to have friends, he was pretty sure. Oh well, he might have to ask.

Hakan shrugged back. "There's nothing going on," he answered. And there wasn't at all. He nodded again and grinned when Dago mentioned Yasuo lending himself to people seeing him as a little brother. "So I'm not the only one seeing that, then," he said. Really, he couldn't help but see the Chao Xi as a family. It was ridiculous, really, and they'd ended up all separated, but they had been something like a family. Sort of.
Oh well. Again, they were mages now, and the Order didn't seem at all as emotionally connected. Hakan figured that was just the way they did things. Marian seemed pretty cold, after all.
Hakan was perfectly happy with making friends here at the Order. Truthfully, he hadn't really gotten to know any of the other mages. He knew their names and their basic personalities, but nothing more. He supposed knowing a bit about them would be pretty useful, and besides, it was always good to have friends.

“That’s good, too,” Dago said, noting that Hakan didn’t insist it wasn’t Dago’s business, like Dago had brought up.
“You’re not, he’s happy-go-lucky and likes cartoons, aside from being skinny and younger than he looks,” Dago said, shaking his head at the thought of Yasuo.
There was that thing where he liked to play pirates, too, but Dago wasn’t going to bring that up. Hakan seemed to have participated. There wasn’t really anything wrong with all of those things, Dago just knew Yasuo wasn’t doing himself many favors in the ‘looking mature’ department, but some people were into that.
Now to try something he hadn’t in as long as he could remember: actually dating instead of looking for just a pickup. That was really all he could do right now and figured that would be forgiven. He wasn’t completely in the dark about Marian’s last girlfriend, after all. He had a lot more room than Dago did, though.
“If that’s the case, want to go to dinner with me?” Dago asked.

Hakan could be very, very immature as well- Just as immature as Yasuo, really. But unlike Yasuo, he wasn't like that all the time and could act mature- He had to for his job, after all. However, Haru and Yasuo tended to bring out Hakan's immaturity and Hakan really didn't see anything wrong with playing pirates anyway. It was fun, who cared if it was a little childish?
Hakan did, however, note that Dago mentioned it was good that him and Yasuo weren't sleeping together. Huh. Interesting. Being a reporter caused him to pick up on small things like that, and so he wasn't all that amazed when Dago asked him out to dinner.
"Sure, that'd be awesome," Hakan answered, smiling back at Dago. See, taking the time to get to know the other mages here wasn't so bad, and they all obviously weren't like Marian- Not that Marian was a bad person or anything, but he was kind of cold. Like a CEO or something.
